A Sweet Poem from Ivy and Marcey

Thank you so much for this poem - I truly loved it and it meant so much to me.

Mrs. Holtvluwer is more than just the lady behind the desk in the chair,
She is a woman full of grace, tenderness and care.
When we don't feel good, maybe a little sick,
Mrs. Holtvluwer to the rescue she has just the trick.
Ibuprofen, Tylenol, all assortment of pills,
And even a friendly hug to get rid of the chills.
Whether we are grumpy, sad, or at our wit's end,
Mrs. Holtvluwer the office lady will always be our friend.
We will cherish the moments with you hanging out at break,
Not spending enough time with you here was our only mistake.
We wish you the best at your new job in all that you do,
We hope you know that we will always love you.

My time at school with amazing kids has been a wonderful time for me. I will miss them dearly, I hope in some small way, I was able to convey my love for them - and my personal relationship that I have with my Savior, Jesus Christ. Leaving behind my friends at Legacy was very bittersweet, but I trust God that He has led me to this new position at Spectrum. I will always have many great memories of my past 17 years at Kelloggsville/Legacy Christian.

So, tomorrow I embark on my new journey, I am thankful for everyone who promised to pray for me, I will need your prayers and I know that God will hear each and everyone of them. Blessings to you all!

Galveston via Grand Rapids

Web cams are great! Emily called me while they were in Galveston today to get on my computer. It took Ben and Emily and her friend, Kara a while to find where to go, but I was able to see them on Galveston beach and then download the picture to my computer. Isn't technology great?

Changes

After working at Kelloggsville/Legacy Christian for the past 17 years, I have taken a new job working at Spectrum Health. I will be working in the Heathier Communities division - taking phone calls from expectant parents to choose Spectrum Hospital as the place where they would like to have their babies. I will be setting up pre-natal classes and tours of the hospital where their babies will be born. I am very excited about this new position, but very sad to leave all my friends and middle school kids behind. The kids at Legacy Christian have a very special place in my heart and they are inspiration for me. This change of jobs did not come easy for me, but after alot of prayers and believing this to be God's will for my life - I am very excited to move on.
