The gift of friendship

One of the most amazing gifts is the gift of friendship and fellowship. I have been going to Monday night Bible study with these great friends for the past five years! We have studied many topics that have challenged me and helped me to grow spiritually. This year we are beginning to study the book of James. We have been taking a section at a time. James is really talking to me. I look forward to Mondays - a time to be with friends and grow in my walk with God.
We began the year with a fun and social time --
June and Julia enjoying a good story!
Renee and Marilyn
Fran and I
Fran is an amazing person, she is an inspiration to us all! Every once in a while she uses her wonderful talent and plays the organ for us. God has been working in all of our lives and we treasure each other!

Happy Birthday, Don!

We celebrated Don's birthday at the party! Carol made his favorite, pumpkin pie! I hope your birthday was great - we are happy to share this time with you!
Carol even put candles in the pie - After a rousing round of "Happy Birthday" we had dessert, but we didn't eat the birthday pie!

Carole and Louie

Carole was the winner of Bunco. She won the ultimate prize of keeping Louie until our next party. He was quite the hit - he sings and is very entertaining. Who will be the next winner? You'll have to stay tuned - hopefully Carole will be willing to give him up. Congratulations, Carole!

Fun with Friends

The girls pose for a picture - Carol, Cheryl, Marijo, Linda, Ruthie, Carole, June, and I. We had an evening eating great appetizers at the Hoffmans followed by dinner and bunco at the VanDuyns.
The guys - they weren't real happy to move out of their chairs for a group picture. Jack, Dave, Ken, Randy, Bob, Don, Bill, and Cal.
Carole has to taste test the food - June was happy to oblige. The food was awesome and a great time was had by all of us. Thank you June and Carol for putting this great evening all together!
