Nick comes for a visit

Nick came and spent a week with us (without Jenni) to do some golfing, visit friends, golf, go to the beach, golf, watch a little SCHS football practice, golf, visited with Aunt Wilma, golf, went to the Koeze cottage, golf, went out for ribs at Sam's, took his mom to the driving range, oh.....did I mention that he took his golf clubs along and played some golf while he was here also. Nick is a great golfer and a great teacher! He will soon complete getting his master's in education administration - he will be a principal!! No doubt he will make a great principal since he is such a great teacher! I am very proud of what a great teacher and person Nick is and I know he will make a difference in many kids lives!! I totally enjoyed my time with Nick. I wish that Jenni could have spent some time here also, but she has this crazy thing called a job that she had to stay in Florida for.

As I was taking him to the airport in South Bend, I received a phone call from the Human Resource Department at Spectrum Health, where I currently work. I was in the process of having my job being transition and I had applied for another job, and they were calling me to tell me that I got the new job! I was very happy - and being with Nick at that moment was great! He knew what I had been going through the past week or so about my job - needless to say it was a gift from God that I was offered this new position!

A day in Holland with Emily

Holland State Park, what a beautiful day! After shopping in Holland we took a drive to Holland State Park and walked on the pier, and posed by the "big red building" as a sailboat was sailing past. (some people will get "the big red building" and others will not!)

Emily and I had a great lunch and enjoyed our time together! As always the time goes so fast when she is here, but we were happy to spend some time together.

What a great daughter! She is now enrolled in grad school to become a nurse practitioner! She will be amazing at this...God has blessed her with many gifts - intelligence, a wonderful personality, caring for others, a great work ethic, and the list could go on! I am very proud of her and I know she will study hard and meet her goals!

Ben and Emily posing at Reed's Lake.......

one of the first nights Ben and Emily were here, we went to dinner at Roses on Reeds Lake. It was a beautiful evening and we enjoyed waiting outside for our table to be ready.

Surprise! Nick and Jenni drop in for a day!

Nick and Hudson deciding what to eat at Kirby's in Grand Haven....what do you think you want to order, Uncle Nick? hummmmm, that looks good, huh!

Nick and Jen spent the day with us and we went out to Grand Haven with Nate, Brooke, and Hudson. Nate and Brooke didn't know they were coming, so it was a sweet surprise. It was great to spend a great day at the lake.

Aunt Jenni and Uncle Nick like to spoil Hudson when they see him....it was a great to spend time together....we were missing Ben and Emily, but they would be arriving at the end of the week.
