Days End

When we got home from the mall, we talked to "mommy and daddy" on the web cam - they arrived safetly in SF and were in their hotel room! Hudson was glad to see them as they were him!! Grandma decided to go to McDonalds for dinner!! After Grandma's salad and Hudson's kid's mc nugget dinner, we headed to HEB to buy a few snacks! Hudson was then ready for his bath and bed! Hudson was ready for bed! I know he misses his mommy and daddy, but he wants them to have a good time, because Grandma is trying to spoil him!!! I wonder what we will do tomorrow???

Monday. March 16

We ate it "all gone!!"

While we were at the mall, we got some strawberry ice cream, it was really good!! Then it was time to go home........but where did grandma park the car?? We walked around the mall at least 5 times trying to find the entrance where we came in......Hudson couldn't remember either!! After about an hour we were able to find our entrance and get to our car!! Soon we were on our way home again!! Yea!!
Hudson and I went to build a bear, and we got a panda, since Hudson loves KungFu Panda!!

Hudson wasn't so sure about putting the heart in the panda...

Nate and Brooke left this morning for SanFrancisco -- Hudson didn't like it at all that they left, he cried for a few minutes and stood by their bedroom door, saying, Mommy, Daddy, but then he as okay, and Grandma was his only playmate. After taking a walk and seeing the cows, Hudson and Grandma took a nap, Hudson slept for 3 hours, Grandma slept for an hour. We then had lunch and headed to the mall. It was a warm day, 75 degrees or so......

Raining in Texas

Ok, Let's play!!

Daddy kicks the ball, while Hudson watches and tries to catch it!!

What a kick!!

Hudson....kick the ball!!

Well, I arrived in Texas a few minutes early and Nate was there to pick me up. It was kinda a wet, cool day, not the sunny weather I was hoping for. Texas needs rain really bad so they are welcoming it. It was however, 55 degrees. Today being Sunday, it was still cloudy and a little rainy, we went to church, ate a light lunch, Hudson and I took naps while Nate and Brooke packed for their trip to San Francisco. Brooke's dad and sister came for supper, I made a roast and turkey, mashed potatoes, corn, beans. After dinner, Nate took Hudson outside for some fresh air and some fun.....

Fun with Hudson Day 1 and 2

Hudson reading the book that "Aunt Jan" got for him, he took it to Grandma's bed - just the start of our adventure!!! What a cutie!!

Hudson was enjoying a red velvet cupcake that his Aunt Ashley brought him for dessert!

Hudson loves it when his daddy reads books to him!

Sunday was not a beach day!

Jack wanted seafood, so Nick and Jen took us to Crabby Bills for some...crab legs are so hard to eat, but they are so good..obviously Jack had his work cut out for him.

Since it wasn't much of a beach day, the wind was blowing, sand was swirling, and we were not willing to get TOO cold, we didn't walk out to the pier, instead we headed for a little place on the beach and we each had a margarita and pretended it was a great sunny day at the beach. Monday morning came too fast, and saying goodbye isn't always fun, but it was nice to get a little break from the cold and snow in Michigan...when we landed in GR it was 23 degrees and we woke up to 7 degrees this morning. We are hoping that it begins to warm up in Michigan real soon!!

Busch Gardens

Nick and Jen getting ready to watch the 3D movie.....oh yea, we all got wet, too!!

Nick, Jen, and Jack went on the roller coaster so I could take pictures and watch their stuff...when they got off the ride, they didn't feel so good!!

Nick and Jen getting a good look at the Clydesdales!

We spent Saturday at Busch Gardens - it was a beautiful day. It got to be 80 degrees, and we all got a little sunburned. The animals, the rollercoasters, eating, enjoying train rides, enjoying the really nice sun-shiny weather were all part of a great day!!!

Florida fun with Nick and Jen

Nick and Jen took us out to dinner for BBQ at a great place. We had great BBQ pork and ribs with coleslaw, potato salad, corn casserole, and we "tried" some other things. The food was great as was the company. We enjoyed three beautiful warm days, lots of food, sunshine, a little golf, sitting by the pool, taking walks, and just enjoying being together. Thanks Nick and Jen for such a nice time!!
