A Beautiful Sunday

Today is Sunday - a day set apart to think reflect on God and how He shows himself to us in many ways! Sometimes, it means going to worship Him in church - to fed by His Spirit and how to learn how to live your life as He wants you to live. Sometimes, it means taking some time for Him to speak through quiet times in nature, taking a walk, listening to music that warms your soul like sunshine. God is everywhere - He listens to the desires of your heart, He walks with you through the dew-covered grass, He provides the warm sunshine to let the flowers of the fields to add color to the green grass, He brings spring time birds to the trees as we listen to their voices praise Him. His universe is vast and He always has time for the small things, yes, even me!

The path the God leads us on is not always straight - but He provides a walkway that will keep us out of the water and rocks if we obey Him!
Sometimes our lives seems like trees without leaves........
Then He makes us beautiful and bloom where we are planted!
We don't know our future, but we know our God provides for us as He does for nature all around us. As God gives sunshine and rain for all of nature - isn't it awesome how He cares for us! Take some time today and see how God provides for you - whether in the small things or the big things!

Cousins Glenda and Paul

Saturday night we met my cousin Glenda and her husband Paul in Wayland for dinner. Glenda had left her glasses in our car a few weeks ago and she called to see if we would like to meet them halfway (they live in Kalamazoo) and have dinner together. She got her glasses back and we had a nice dinner at Ucellos. It was nice to catch up with each others families.

Dinner at Rose with LCS Friends

A beautiful night, dinner at Rose's on Reeds Lake. Laurie, Mary, Merri, and Carol and I caught up with each other's lives! We all worked together at Kelloggsville Christian School and since KCS merged with CCS and became Legacy Christian we have all faced some changes in our lives. We all feel very blessed the way God has worked in our lives and also that we can share good times together. Laurie will soon be working full time as a LCS kindergarten teacher and her son, Mike is engaged and getting married next summer. Mary is a great 4th grade teacher at LCS and is enjoying her new role as a grandma! Merri is an awesome 2nd grade teacher at LCS and is getting married this summer - we are so excited for Merri. Carol is a talented music teacher who now works for the Holland Christian Schools. She has become a grandmother also! They were wanted to know how my new job was going and how my life has changed while being a grandma, too. It was great to catch up with each others lives and to see how God is working and living in each of us! It was an awesome visit!

An interesting day......

As most of you know I started a new job recently, and I am the type of person who always looks for interesting tidbits in my day. My job consists of registering new moms for childbirth classes, tours of the birthing center, encouraging people to take classes that will help them live healthier lives, etc. so............my first caller was a woman who had the same birthday I have, the second caller was a woman named Suzanne, the next caller was a girl named, Jennifer and her husband's name was Nick, ok so that was in the morning.......this afternoon I had a call from a person whose address was on Badger Ave. (the street I grew up on when I was young), and to end the day I had a call from a young girl whose last name was Holt. I was really wondering if this all had some kind of meaning???? Well, when I got home, a good friend from high school called and guess what? Her and I were born on the same day of the same year?! What is going on? I always try to analyze things like this -- any ideas why all these coincidences on the same day? I need help with this one.......
