I am very fortunate to work with great kids at Legacy Christian School. Every break time and noon hour, a number of them come in to visit me. They always raid my candy drawer and want to see Baby Hudson on my screen saver. I told them when they are in the office, Hudson is the cutest baby they ever saw - when they are out of my office, then they can say that their niece, nephew, or cousin is the cutest! I told them this week that Hudson will be here for Thanksgiving and I will bring him in to meet them on the Monday or Tuesday before Thanksgiving. The kids are very excited to meet him.

Dinner with Aunt Wilma
Tuesday night I went to Aunt Wilma's for dinner. She just got home from a six week trip from South Dakota to Montana and everywhere in between. She had a great time visiting friends and family. Aunt Wilma has just moved up into my mom's part of the condo. Things are different, but she has the condo looking very nice. We are both trying hard not miss mom. We had a nice time and I treasure her as my aunt.
Photography by Sue and Renee
Renee and I are in the photography business together. On Monday, we were looking at the pictures we had taken at our most recent wedding and choosing those that we wanted to showcase for the bride and groom. After that we went out for a business dinner at Taco Bell and enjoyed many laughs and great conversation. After dinner we went to our Bible Study - we are studying Billy Graham's book on angels with four more of our friends.

My Sister, Pam
Today I went to Pam and Tim's house for souper Sunday. We had delicious soup and homemade bread. For those of you who don't know her, she is probably the best cook I know! She always has wonderful things to eat! Tim and her made two different kinds of soup - white chicken chili and potato soup - they were delicious. After dinner, Pam and I met up with Irene at the fish ladder. Not many fish were jumping, but it was a beautiful but cool Sunday afternoon.
Pam is my prayer partner this year. We have not been able to spend a lot of time with each other because of our jobs and the fact that we don't have mom to glue us together anymore. We are determined to stay close and spend quality time with each other and each other's family. I love her and she is a great inspiration to me as we lean on each other to try to understand why God had to take her to heaven so quickly. Thanks for being such a great sister!!

Ludington
This Saturday, Jack and I took our annual trip to Ludington. We wanted to see the great Michigan fall colors, but the color was not there. Every year, we always took the family (or part of them) and went to the dam and watched the salmon fishermen and then took a walk on one of the trails. The day was a cool fall day and the most of the people on the trail were with their dogs. After walking the trail, we went into Ludington and did some shopping after eating lunch at the Sportsman Irish Pub. I think the fall colors are more beautiful right here in Grand Rapids.

Wine tasting with the Snoeyinks!
Well, I still don't have a camera. I brought my little cheapy camera with us to take some pictures of the great adventure of wine tasting in Fenn Valley, South Haven, Coloma. The camera was doing weird things and the pictures all came out very blurry. We had a nice day (actually it was hot - 85). So it was nice to get into our air-conditioned car and the wineries. We had a great lunch in South Haven (burgers and rum-runners)! Our favorite place to eat in South Haven was already closed for the season. The colors are changing and everything is so green yet, but we are prepared for some cooler temperatures later this week. I am sure that this will prepare us for our winter season (brrrr!)
Friends!
Last Saturday we went to Fallsburg Park with our friends Dave and Jan. It was a beautiful fall day and we spend part of the day checking out the craft booths (Jan and I). We went for a walk by Flat River and later went out to dinner at the Flat River Grill in Lowell. While we were at the park, someone stole my camera so I am very anxious to get a new one. The picture of Dave and Jan was taken at Emily's wedding this summer.
